Philippine Azkals vs Kuwait Live at ABS-CBN . The Philippine Football Team, more populary known as Azkals, will play against Kuwait in the 2nd Round, 1st Leg of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifier at the Mohammad Al Hamad Stadium, Qadsia on Saturday, July 23, 2011.

ABS-CBN Sports announced that the Philippines vs Kuwait Game 1 primer at 11:30 PM and kick-off at 12:30 AM will air on ABS-CBN.



Sportscaster/anchor TJ Manotoc on Twitter revealed that the first Azkals vs Kuwait match will mark another historic first as the first-ever football game to be televised on the Kapamilya network.

We've read that the match is not only anticipated by Filipinos, but football fans in most parts of Asia also expect that it will be a must-watched sports event.

Kuwait is a much tougher team. In the current FIFA world football ranking, it is ranked 102nd while the Philippines ranks 159th. If the Philippines pulls this one, the Azkals would earn respect from other football teams across nations.

Philippine Azkals defeated Sri Lanka 4-0

The Philippine Azkals now have a 4-0 lead over the Sri Lankan Brave Reds in the second leg of their FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Azkals winger Chieffy Caligdong scored the first goal at the 18th minute.

He found the back of the net with a strike in the 18th minute that caromed off the left post.

Another goal by Azkals striker Phil Younghusband in the 42nd minute made it 2-0 in favor of the Philippines.

The Filipino-British footballer evaded 2 defenders and the Sri Lankan goal keeper to increase the Azkals' lead.
