Dwight Howard | 2010-11 NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award

In the 2010-11 NBA season, Dwight Howard led the league with 66 double-doubles that includes six 20-point plus 20-rebound games. He also ranked second in rebounds with 14.1 rpg and fourth in blocked shots with 2.38 bpg.

With the Orlando Magic’s 6-foot-11 center defending inside the paint, the Magic allowed 93.5 ppg to their opponents that ranked fourth in that category. Apart from that, he also reached several historical milestones this season.


After receiving 585 points, including 114 first-place votes, from a panel of 120 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada, Howard was named as the 2010-11 NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
